Sanctuary Beautification ministers assist the clergy and Sacristans in preparing the Sanctuary for the celebration of Holy Mass and other Sacraments. Sanctuary Beautification members maintain the cleanliness and decoration of the Sanctuary on a regular basis, as well as washing and preparing all sacred linens used in the celebration of Holy Mass. With regard to linen preparation, since Mass linens come into direct contact with the Blessed Sacrament, there are special procedures and methods that must be followed in their maintenance; a process requiring some training.
